Rachel Lovingood

I am married to Jeff,who is Minister of Student Development at Long Hollow Baptist Church. We have 3 great kids-- Trevor, Kelsey and Riley, they are awesome and keep me hopping from one activity to the next. Trevor is driving so that has increased my prayer life and lightened my taxi driving load:)
 
Jeff has been on staff at some fantastic churches across the country and that has been a huge blessing for me as well. I have loved the different cities we've lived in and am now thrilled to be back in Tennessee.
 
Some of my favorite things to do are hanging out with my family, watching the kids' ballgames and playing tennis. I love seeing God in all the everyday things of life and using practical experiences to relate to Biblical principles.
 
As a published freelance writer and speaker, God has given me some wonderful opportunities to share about His transforming power to groups of all kinds. I totally love getting to speak at events for women, girls, leaders and ministers' wives.
 
God's Word has been a driving force in my life and through all the ups and downs, He has remained faithful and His Word has strengthened me. It is my desire to help others realize all that God can and wants to do in their lives if they will just surrender to Him.
 
 
 
its official..I am way too easy on myself sometimes, especially when it involves food, or sin (is there a pattern here?). so with that in mind... 
 
Remember when you were younger and your mom would say Now, think before you speak because once a word is spoken it can't be taken back, or you would get the advice that your words were a powerful witness and you should ...

Ministry & Training
I recently completed the Centurion Program, through which I was privileged to  spend a year studying christian worldview under the leadership of Chuck Colson. He is an amazing man with so many stories to tell and he is one of the most brilliant minds of our times. (lots of what he says goes over my head but I figure that if I catch at least a portion of it then I am better for it)
 
 
My typical involvement in local  ministry includes:
